I feel like I am always borderline on if I want to share (or if you want me to share) anything about health and fitness on this blog. But I think I have decided I want to share more about me personally in addition to all my style post. What do you all think? To me they coincide, plus I have already shared my love of athleisure ware with you.
Dressing well and feeling confident in what your wearing is so important but so is taking care of yourself. Working out, eating better, getting the right amount of sleep equates to being happier along with the benefit of your clothing fitting better.
I am someone that is always stressed, even when I am not stressed I still am. Luckily I have finally found what works for me which is an hour of Pure Barre a day ( I wish I could make it everyday, it is more 4 times a week) and listening to what my body is telling me it needs.
Health & Fitness has been something I have always been into but continuously fluctuated with. I grew up as a synchronized swimmer and did ballet but as I got older staying in shape got harder. But if you read my New Years post here, you saw that I decided to go with my gut and audition to be a Pure Barre instructor. Although I did not get it this round I am still so proud of myself for putting myself out there and I am hopeful it will happen when the time is right. My love of barre does continue though and I highly recommend it to everyone! It is the first workout I have REALLY seen results in and the people I have met doing it make it that much better.
Post audition I did end up with a fit session at the Lululemon in Hyde Park Village. I do have to say that prior to this fit session I had totally lost my faith in the brand, mainly there was so much hype and my first pair just didn’t do it for me. After this fit session ( basically an appointment with an employee that pulls items for your body type and lifestyle + educates you about the items as you try them on), my mind has totally changed!
I finally have the right size and with the items fitting like a glove I want more and more! The tank top I’m wearing is their Cool Racerback II, and the pants are All The Right Places II. Perfect for barre, you can see your form and with the pants fitting perfectly they don’t slide down and get in the way. I also bought the Align Pant II which I am OBSESSED with, it really feels like you are wearing nothing. Lulu is definitely a bit more expensive, but use Ebates and get 4% cash back.
I will say the lulu sports bras don’t fit me well, I stick with my Fabletics Sylvia bra. My bra size is 32DD/DDD and it is the first sports bra that really fits.
Thinking about trying Fabletics? Sign up here and you will get two pairs of leggings for $24, which I also love and own the most of (a great alternative to Lulu).
Let me know what you all think and if you are in Tampa hit me up for a Barre session at Pure Barre Tampa!
