I remember hearing about the blog Into The Gloss when I was at Teen Vogue Fashion University a few years back and Emily Weiss was one of the speakers. This was years before the concept of Glossier (her spin off skincare line) but I am so glad I could follow along. Now I have to admit this review is a little late in the game, but buying all new skincare wasn’t quite in the budget when it came out and then big surprise it was sold out! I can say that I am so glad I did finally make the purchase.
My first go around was the Milky Jelly Cleanser and Priming Moisturizer. I would have done the Phase One Kit however they were out of the Perfecting Skin Tint so I went this route. I do want to disclose I have pretty sensitive and breakout prone skin.
Starting with the cleanser: I do love it, however…
If you are wearing make-up you will need wash twice. First wash is using like make-up remover (which is great) and second wash really makes me feel cleansed. It is so wild to me that it doesn’t create any suds! But I promise it is working. Milky Jelly is also so gentle you can use it to get your eye make-up off and there is not boring “soap in my eyes” feeling. This has become my sole face wash and I absolutely love it. I did start using micellar water as my make-up remover pre washing with milky jelly and then of course following up with the priming moisturizer.
It has got to be the best one I have ever tried…and thats a lot of them. It is not oily, greasy, and it sure as heck doesn’t clog your pores. In the past I have felt like moisturizers don’t actually moisturize or that they are clogging my pores and causing more breakouts but that is definitely not the case here. Depending on how thirsty my skin is sometimes I layer it and sometimes I don’t, it feels great under make-up or for just a fresh a face look. They market it as buildable and it definitely is. Even if you don’t like Milky Jelly ( I don’t know why you wouldn’t) I would say you will still love the Priming Moisturizer.
Now this Stretch Concealer…
I swear this stuff is clearing breakouts on it’s own! A little goes a long way, it’s smooth, moisturizing and like I said it is definitely not causing any breakouts. I am pretty positive I am pretty pale and I got medium, it is very close to my skin tone however sometimes I think is a little orange but you really can’t tell. The concealer I used for years stopping being produced so I haven’t had one in probably more than a year trying to find the right one to go to (and trying many) but I am for sure sticking with this.
Overall, LOVE LOVE LOVE! Also the bags that they come with (in the top picture) are reusable and so cute! I used to them to travel with my Glossier products and my make-up and will continue to do so! I can’t wait to try the rest.
If you decide to try them out let me know what you think!
