I am literally the definition of a workaholic. I work 40 hours a week, I am in school at AAU and obviously run this blog on top of taking care of the house and animals. I am certainly not complaining as I love my life but I’m always working harder to get to where I want to be and help others along the way. But at some point its okay to take a day (or more) to yourself, which is what I did last night. Not only will you feel good but your mind will be sharper and you will be more energetic to tackle everything on your plate.
If you can afford to go to a spa than more power to you but for those of us that can’t (or anyone that doesn’t want to leave the comfort of your own home) here is how I did it for virtually free.
Why I have never used a both bomb before tonight is a mystery to me, actually I don’t even think I have taken a bath since I was a child. There has been tons of hype surrounding Lush’s bombs but too pricey for me. This one I used tonight was actually a gift from a friend, her boyfriend makes them! At home!
These rose pedals made me feel so luxe.
Obviously you aren’t necessarily being gifted one now but the whole point is that you can make them at home for a fraction of the price, and have plenty more leftover. (I am working on getting the inside scoop for making them for you guys)
Secondly I used my freebie mask from Lush from recycling my empty containers. I know you all may not have that right now either but it’s all about using the right resources.
Mentioned in this blog post here, I got Oatifix. My skin has been on the fritz lately and the cooling sensation from the fridge and soothing oatmeal definitely helped. I noticed right away after washing it off that my skin was already less red and puffy.
Bright side, you smell like an oatmeal cookie! (Pretty sure it looked like I had one on my face too) The only thing that would have made this relaxing evening in better would have been a glass of wine.
I am now relaxed and ready to conquer the weekend, work and play, and am a devoted bath [bomb] enthusiast.
Now it’s time for you all to relax this weekend, or take it easy with a night in on Sunday so your ready to conquer the work week with a fresh mind and skin. Let me know how you choose to relax!
